I lead teams of scientists and engineers at Meta, focused on advancing innovations through the application of machine learning to complex problems with broad societal impact.
Prior to joining Meta, I led a research group at Hewlett Packard Labs driving HPE’s security analytics initiatives, and exploring hardware–software co-design to enhance system security for The Machine. Earlier in my career at Symantec Research Labs, I worked on large scale learning for data loss prevention, malware clustering, and reputation based malware detection.
I hold a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University, where my thesis research formalized the notion of a system’s attack surface measurement. I completed my undergraduate studies in Computer Science at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur.
